I run AVG and had no issues with my CoD install, not even aware there was a problem? Not flown online yet though, perhaps this will trigger something?
It was a commercial DVD copy, perhaps this is different? |

I think I have fixed it, no crashes yet...fingers crossed.
I reinstalled Direct X and used AVG Tune up, it found over 5000 reg errors on my system, not sure which solved the problem..but its something else to try for anyone experiencing similar problems. |

For what it's worth, my experience with latest free version of AVG 2011 is that the "identity protection" module is a cpu parasite. It is always running some script in the background no matter what, so I would advise disabling that part of the program when gaming. You can do this in the user interface.

1) open AVG
2) Click on Tools along the top. 3) Select Advanced Settings 4) Select PUP Exceptions 5) Add rendobj.dll 6) click apply then ok 7) Launch CoD On step 5, you have to know the location of the file... I can't find it with search... I guess it got deleted? I tried to use STEAM file integrity to restore but no dice... Hmmm... Can someone give the full path for the problem file? |
