Hi again JG52Krupi

Just a quick update now I am back from work and have been able to read a few of the threads on performance and advice.

I just ran a few 6v6 dogfights with the following settings and got solid FPS of 40 over both land and water. (actually ran the fps START SHOW to test this time)

Building Details - Low
Forest - Low
Damage Decals - Med
Land Shading - Low
Roads - Off
All else - High
Ep filter - Off (0bviously)
1920x1200 (no AA)

I also set processaffinity thingy to 14 in the config.

As I said...a solid average of 40 FPS...the only bad thing now for me is the stutters.

I tend to agree now with what people have been saying..FPS is not necessarily the issue, it is the stutters. However, I also tweaked a fair bit with my Track IR settings as well .. I had been using my IL2-1946 profile which was getting more uncomfortable the longer I played...I don't know if this is a placebo but I kind of managed to smooth things out a tad (using another track IR profile I picked up somewhere on the net ages ago), and it seems to have helped reduce the stuttering noticeably. Stutters are still there (and needs a fix) but I am enjoying the game a lot now.

Anyway, after doing all this, I had some very playable dogfights over water and Calais (I think that was the location) and the potential of the sim is really shining through now! Even with the reduced settings for certain aspects, the game still looks pretty good IMHO.

I have not tested anymore. Truth be told, I reckon there is a fair bit of room to move further up with those settings that I had reduced, but I am going to leave well enough alone for now and just enjoy playing until the next patch.

Luthier's recent "Roadmap" post is encouraging, so I am sure we have a gem on our hands that is going to only improve.

Hope your day off work was fun
