Same Problem
Exactly like your problem screen blinks then just gives up on opening. When I first downloaded the game it worked fine, then I hooked it up to my TV and since then for some reason the game will only open if I have the laptop connected to my TV. I tried changing the game.ini config settings manually and that didnt help at all. Hopefully someone has some helpful advice.
