i cancelled my collectors edition preorder.
Not only do we have this damned filter which causes all kinds of problems. But also it seems that the game itself is not yet working properly.
I read a statement that the filter takes away about 10 fps... but in another post it was mentioned that if you put up more then 10 planes the fps in cockpit go down to about 1 fps !!! and that on a decent machine with modern quadcore and gtx 470....

it tells me this game still needs a lot of work and probably its a good idea to wait till the first two patches have come out and the filter problem is solved. Its for sure not only the filter, but more fundamental gameengine problems too. It reminds me of the time Il2 came out and noone could fly over Berlin...

By the way the conf.ini setting of the epi filter seems not to work yet... its a placebo as far my reading of forum test results went... hope they will implement that...think they should really get rid of UBIsoft ..they have always been terrible bastards and they get worse it seems....

I am simply not in the mood to fiddle with another halfcompleted game to make it barely run on my rig. And i have Crossfire and take it as a personal insult of Luthier and Ubi to devaluate my costly equipment.
What is most annoying though is that Luthier in his post wrote that they are trying to implement the reduction of epi causing graphics genuinely in the engine so that they have better frames and dont need the post filter anymore. But what does that mean ? It means they want to castrate the graphics even more profoundly... WW2 combat flight sim after all is about spinning props and flashes of lightning everywhere, isnt it ? And of course this exactlty can make epis have a fit...so if you want to cut this out you do cripple the game.... very stupid...very very stupid.

Hi all!
This is my first time flying Cliffs of Dover but I already have a lot of experience flying in IL2. My PC is kind of weak but I can still see the incredible potential in the modeling and the game world. Good luck to everyone! Have fun exploring this huge new universe!
