Hi Manu, just a reminder that oxygen bottles are often located in the rear fuselage - I can't say where specifically for the Br.20, but it could explain the sudden detonation.
Plus as the vid creator stated he used the non-realistic gunnery option just to get some of the shots he needed. Given Oleg & Co's modelling of the .303s in Il-2 seem to be roughly right, I don't think you'll have too much to worry about old bean.
