Yep it's an April fools joke ,the real date is April 14th [2 weeks in April] ,they just don't know it yet

Not anymore. Ubisoft store is now showing 26th April for US and Canada.

It looks like the 7 days delay just got added to the other regions too.

PS A bit rhetorical, but why on earth have a digital download edition release date so different per region? I can understand things like DVD's and Collectors Editions, but to put a delay between the EU and US seems madness.

PPS Still buying it though
