I am sure London is there, I doubt Oleg would allow it not to be.

That's what I mean, we have those very old pics, but they are not in-game pics and nothing has been said about London at all in 2011

I would have thought that in-game video or pics featuring the famous landmarks in the heart of London with barrage ballons and flak bursts above would help to sell COD very well indeed...

I really hope it's a frame rate problem and not that a detailed London is one of the features not included in the initial release...remember this game is not Storm Of War: Battle Of Britain it is now IL2: Cliffs Of Dover....

We'll find out either way very soon !

Sorry...not good enough only a background !

Also features the exact same Ju88s and Bf110 from the official website main pic !!

It will be fantastic if we have a huge London with warehouses, factories, docks, and famous buildings...

If you bale out over London can your pilot be run over by the number 47 bus? or any vehicle for that matter? Will the pilot run for a bit and dive on the ground like IL2 or will he just stand/lay there ?

The pilot will immediately make for the nearest pub and, depending on how long he had been in-flight - and therefore distressingly sober - may or may not be cognisant of ground-based vehicles. As such, a 'fighter boy' who has been perhaps up to 12 hours away from the ale will disregard everything around him in his furious dash toward said bar and therefore may indeed become yet another casualty of the London transport system. We lost many good men this way.

Should his need for ale be not so pressing, it's entirely possible he will be able to negotiate his journey at a more leisurely pace and therefore avoid death by bus.

There could be many reasons why they're not showing certain aspects of the game. But...

Watching this video between about 40-56 seconds and seeing the drastic popping in and out of ground details, I can understand why it might not be a good idea at this point to show London city, if huge swathes of it would be appearing and disappearing in a similar way. Better to emphasize the positives in your product or project, especially when knowing there'll be no shortage of people ready and willing to emphasize, or even over-emphasize, any perceived negatives or failings in it.
