hmmm. i have also gamersgate version.

have you download game new again or have you copied install files to your pc? possible you should download game new again.

after installing delete folder my documents\my games\men of war - assault squad... again and start game "as administrator". possible that work.

or you have wrong display settings (resolution) in windows system.

I have a Steam version and the same problem.

Windows 7 64

Because it's a steam version I cannot run it in compatability mode either.

search for "mow_assault_squad.exe" on your harddisk and run with compatibility mode.

...but i have also Win7 64 bit and MoW:AS runs perfect without any compatibility modes.

I got very similar error messages to those posted. Finally i worked out that the issue was that it would not run on my 1920 * 1080 resolution.

I have two monitors, primary was set to 1920 * 1080. I constantly got these errors and could not get the game to load.

I turned of the second monitor, still would not work.

Finally i turned off my primary monitor and reverted to a single monitor set-up on my 1680 * 1050 monitor and it was all fine. Loaded no problems and runs fine.

I tried with dual monitors with 1680 * 1050 as the primary. It all ran fine.

Switched back to the 1920 * 1080 as primary and it fails again.

So for me the game does not appear to support 1920 * 1080 in Win 7 x64.

Hope that helps someone else.

this settings works perfect on my pc with single monitor.
