Because we have a modern acrobatic aircraft included with COD!
Oleg is preparing us for a future modern version of his flightsim engine. Why else include this plane which has nothing at all to do with the Battle Of Britain? Can't think of any other reason for the bizarre inclusion of this plane, other than testing the waters for the future? But I am happy to have an extra plane for nothing in COD considering the time and effort it takes to make one.
