Whoa.

I did post this on a Russian-language forum a few days ago.

The dynamic weather is extremely complex and done in-depth, more so than in any other sim. However its complexity is its downfall. It runs so slow, you can't fly with it on our large map. The physics kill the CPU and the complex clouds kill the video card.

Since complex weather was down the task list for the team behind FM, AI, various plane systems, and DM, we started on optimizing it too late and so won't have it working at sufficient framerate in time for release.

However we actually are shipping the weather in its current state with the game, accessible to the player via the FMB as a "play with it at your own risk" undocumented feature. And we will definitely be updating and improving it in the future.

I'm sure that the majority of people will be well satisfied with knowing it'll be along at some point.

Really sad.
Now you wasted a lot of time and money for such a "downfall"

Is there any unexpected good news on this sim?

Constantly amazed at people's attitude that the perfect sim is "owed" to them.

If Oleg and Luthier were not donating their time to give us updates and insight on the development process, you would simply either buy it and take what's in the box, or keep your money.

"I'm entitled to the most realistic experience because I'm spending $50" is starting to get irritating.

Well said.

Or like do amost all others: Put in advertizing everything that you'll never see in game... with cool words, cool renderings, and couple of screenshots corrected or redrawn sometime...

Marketing a product is essential.. If you dont market it how do you expect people to buy your game? Good faith? Perhaps from people who know yoyur previous work but not from the masses. Im afriad business doesnt work like that.

Good luck anyway

Dude... Grab a hold of yourself, the sky is not falling. Everything in a game is a compromise between game elements and the practicality of getting out and SOLD.

Sheesh they said it would be updated in due time.
