If that's without the green cast, then I shudder to imagine what it looks like with the green cast, because it looks pretty greenish to me...

The landscape is good indeed but the airfield architecture is a joke...I would expect such from a Playmobil designer not from someone supposed knowledgeable about these matters!

What are the odds that is close to realistic?

Clearly defined landing fields, clearly defined borders, clearly defined support areas. Kinda looks to me, here I am plain as day, here I am, bomb my butt.

It is a great looking peace time airbase.

The only thing its missing to make it really authentic is all the planes lined up in nice neat rows to aid the work of a potential straffer.

I will concede it is great looking...but an English airbase? with 600X100 m runways? Fighter hangars positioned on the edge of taxiways? Other hangars located in a parking loop (preventing its use)? trees and buiding on the edge of runways? 13 watchtowers in a 400 m rectangle?

Why not do it right instead? It was too expensive in pixels?

If you do something do it right or don't do it...

The scale gets more wrong the more you look at it. But WoP's terrain scale was something silly like 5:1 (miles) anyway.

They just went for the whole processed (and much copied) Saving Private Ryan feel.. somewhere between black and white and the matrix... Thanks for that Spielberg.
