Just a take off and landing will be enough, with maybe some voice commentary about the different new features and actual ingame sound.

apart from the ideas from csThor, the things i would most like to know about are:-

control inputs- how many controllers are able to be used?
how many assignable axes?
some idea of the number/examples of 'key assignable' controls
(menu screenshots maybe?)

Devicelink- confirmation it will be included and any hints as to any enhancements

multi monitor displays- any clues at all on this please

I'd love to either see a video showcasing flighmodel-features, or atleast have alittle more written info about the advances in FM-modelling since IL-2 '46.

come to think of it, i'd love to see some damage-model demonstration in video too, something like a short demo on each of the potential targets one can encounter in the campaign (ground vehicles, AAA, ships, and buildings etc.)

final suggestion i could think of is London on fire in the middle of the night as that would show lighting effects, smoke, and give an idea of what kind of destruction one can do to buildings, and what one will hopefully be able to see in campaigns and solo-missions as nightfighters.

signing out and going to bed

P.S i'd LOVE to see what a ground detonation of a bomb looks like in CoD
(any bomb would do, just curious about visible shockwave and other fancy effects that might be modelled)

I couldn't find any information on this so I assume it hasn't come up, but I am concerned about the way trees interact with the planes. Making a forced landing in IL-2 1946 was easy as anything - you could fly right through trees and ignore them completely. It would seem relatively simple to implement a tall, thin collision box for each tree representing the trunk, just to add that extra bit of tension to crash landings!
Also (and this falls into the same category as 1. in post #8 ), it would be nice if planes didn't instantly explode upon touching any ground object. In IL-2 1946 you could taxi a large aircraft up against a haybale at half of a mile per hour and it would explode into a million pieces.

The first request is more important (at least for normal gameplay) and also much easier to implement, but I don't see why either of these would be impossible. If I've missed an update dealing with any of what I just mentioned please correct me!

Weather, weather, weather.

Overcast, rain, fog, mist, snow.

I want to chase a lone Ju-88 through the low cloud and morning mist.

Not every day in 1940 was clear blue skies and fluffy cotton-wool cumulus.

Cheers!

Spinner

I'd personally like to see a couple of the most talented video producers given beta copies.
What a brilliant idea. Just look at the great PR Glowing Amraam generates for the DCS guys.

I would also know if the very simple feature to have different joystick curve settings for each aircraft is in the game ?

Well, info on the devicelink API would be great. Will it be there - and will we get new features like more methods that are available while flying online?

Will there be some other API to communicate with the server - and will there be a dedicated server by the way?

What multiplayer modes will be available? Maybe capture enemy fields? Unrealistic but really fun Some info on the in game browser for online servers?

Will there be "official " persistent servers?

What about tools for modding the game? Importing tools?

S!

Info on how future patching will be done. As a separate download and installation as in IL-2 or a built-in autoupdater like in RoF for example. Add-ons are self explanatory, buy and install

A nice piece of info would be a story or a blog of the development. Nothing serious, but highlights, ups and downs, funny moments etc. After release maybe?

I'd like to see:

-qmb screenshots (would give a lot of information on possible setting options!)
-various damage models
-cockpit views
-effects that Gs have on the player's head's position
-small details like cases (if that's the right word - i mean the metal things that contain the bullets and propellant)
