Yes, but for every shot on that site containing a marking that looks 'orange' there is another that looks 'red'. Period photos have to be taken with a grain, the film quality, age/fading of paint, lighting conditions and time of day all play hell with colours.

The dull red in the RAF roundels used from 1937 to 1947 doesn't even exist anymore in any standard colour chart. There is no match in the last British colour standard published (BS381C) and the closest match in the US Federal Standard (FS 595B) is more of a pale "brick red".

I've studied RAF marking and finish colours for a few years due to an interest in skinning aircraft for flight simulations and most (but not all) of the colours used by the RAF during WW2 are "extinct" according to modern British and US colour standards. Only "closest" matches are provided. This makes it very difficult to say "It should look like this" and show an example
