In all fairness, WOP was never marketed for the serious simmer. Out of the box it looks pretty and some people do like it and prefer it to Il1946 (which out of the box, unpatched, un modded, etc, looks inferior at first sight). I prefer IL1946 and consider it a far better product but it has had 10 years of improvements, mods, etc. Unfortunately, WOP was quickly abandoned by the Gajin team in favour of supposed sequel rather than trying to iron out the bugs and improve it. I don't like the 'activation' requirement (only being able to install it on one PC) but the bigest WOP failure is the MP - it is appalling!

AS for FM, I haven't played WOP enough (for obvious reasons) to draw a comparison between all the ac but something isn't quite right with my favourite Spit MK9 - I just haven't bothered to nail exactly what it is. If you like it then thats what really counts - I know of several SIM enthusiasts who prefer it to IL1946- they find it just too demanding to play/set up. WOP is 'Instant Coffee' and IL1946 is the perculated, filtered that takes a bit longer but has the flavour!

BTW IL1946 - Amazon - £5-00 - thats a steal let alone a bargain! Demo'd my IL1946 to a WOP devotee and he was gobsmacked!
