Aces High II is also an all-around simulator. Despite some serious drawbacks, it has some features that, dare I say it, I wish Il-2 had. You can drive trucks and tanks, switching to various positions, and you can also control PT boats (not a fan of those features myself). But I just love that it had two AI which shadowed you if you were a bomber. It's an instant formation for online play - no waiting for friends, no going into the hornet's nest alone.
The best part was that people complained that the P-51 was porked, just like they did in this game (Ahaaaaa!!!)
It's especially ironic since this game was developed by an American team (people were citing Oleg's patriotism as the cause for "porking" the American fighters).
That said, the overall FM, DM, and physics of AHII are balls.
