How to finish mission to rescue dorothy and crane. I need to go somewhere out of road, but i don't see any way...

Read some of the postings in the beginning of the Story Line Spoiler thead on the main forum. Everything you need to complete each story line mission is there. I'm not going to repost each answer to each question already covered on this thread.

After I finished the story and became trucker of the year I was set back to Oxnard with my truck (Titan Ventura). So far, so good.
But now I have the stock chassis. I tried to buy the titan chassis again but when I loaded the savegame with this rebought chassis my truck got the standard chassis again. All other parts are okay.

Does someone have this problem, too? Or better a solution?

Edit:
After selling my truck and buying another new Titan Ventura I could install all upgrades without problems, they also were complete after loading the savegame.
It also works fine when you take the truck of one of your drivers, leave the office and enter it again. Then, after switching back to your own truck, just a new chassis has to be bought.

Yeah, I'm happy that is was so easy. I love this Ventura and drive it since the first minute in the career mode.
I have a look for so many little details, has its good and bad sides.

Another question:
Before Nick meets Dakota and John at the Truck Stop he talks with Dakota (via CB or mobile phone). Nick speaks of John like he saw him some time before and knows him well.
But I don't know who John is. Is there something that I missed? How did Nick got to know John?

I think he means the road at the end of the story, where you have to drive through with the special truck.

I you mean this hidden road:
Drive into the direction of the red point on your map, so like if you want do drive to Mi-Wuk Village. Behind the hairpin bends look for a transit between some trees. You will find it, it's easy...

But okay, I just wondered because Nick told Dakota something like "I talked to John and we have a plan" but he never talked to him.

Yes, I mean Nick. It was a busy here last night. Nick did talk to John at the parking lot where Nick got the weird looking truck, if I recall correctly. I'll look into it again though.
