Hello,
1)The Do217N was produced in very small numbers (240 Do217N-1s with 95 being refitted as Do217N-2s). Compare this to the 2800+ Ju88Gs built for the same purpose. Since we have neither, I'd say the Ju88G would be the best choice based on service numbers. That said, it really depends on DT and if they want to make a Do217N. I wouldn't underestimate the amount of extra work it would entail however, Since the upcoming Do217K-1 in 4.10 has BMW801 engines versus the DB603s of the Do217N. This would require an extensive rework of the 3D model and a different FM to show the improved performance of the the engines. The cockpit would also need to be rebuilt. Sounds like a ton of work. I do have detailed Do217N references if DT wish to proceed with it. 2) I'm with you all the way on the CR.32. Heavily used in the SCW it was also deployed in large numbers in North Africa in 1940. CR.32bis & CR.32quater would be the best variants to make IMHO. The CR.32 was used by 9 different airforces (including Hungary if somebody wants to make a stink about no Med airplanes). 3) The Ki-10 is indeed interesting and 588 were built, but given the sparse coverage of the Pacific I'd say there are more pressing concerns (Japanese bombers, TBD, SB2C, etc). It's up to DT again. Cheers, Fafnir_6 Last edited by Fafnir_6; 07-20-2010 at 08:59 AM. Reason: spelling |

I feel the need to bump it - requesting kindly and reasonably, we need that more often.
Of all the proposed suggestions, I really think the CR.32 would be the most urgent (and considering DT seems to like pasta, the easier to get as well). It just totally blends the current vibe - lots of attention to somewhat forgotten early war airplanes, and lots of attention to Italian aircraft Keep the ideas coming, mate |

CR.32 is an interesting plane.
It was used by Italy and Spain in Civil War.Just need to be sure if isn´t going to be SoW exclusive like Br.20. BTW,post your suggestion at the TD suggestions thread,so it will be at a single place. Oh yes,a plane that would be nice is He-177. ![]() Not going to post info about it cause you might think I ´m being a smarta... I also liked that version with a cannon on the chin a lot. Hello folks...
First of all, I would like to thanks for the feedback. All of you feel free to post here at any time. Now, personal messages: Fafnir_6>>> As I can see, you have a lot of knowledge about technical specifications, and it's welcome here. I agree with you in the main point: if we are listing PRIORITIES, I can't talk about Do-217N while we don't have Ju-88-C or/and -G, as look obvious that Ki-10 is tottally unnecessary if we consider that, in Pacific, we don't have TBD Devastator, G3M Nell, and a lot of other important aircraft, yet. But the point is: I'm not doing a list of priorities, just a summary of what planes we are missing in the SIM. Then, if I'm talking about almost unknown planes, I'm just wondering if we had them, and if we'll have them, someday. Anyway, keep posting here. Thanks for your feedback and technical help. Lucas_From_Hell>>> Thanks for the support. My ideas are coming with more intensity. Keep coming here, and comment. Thanks. bf-110>>> Nice idea on the He-177. At the moment, I'm using a hack of B-29 to see this bird flying. Some crazy ground crew member put two more engines in that bomber... Now, my idea for this week. This is an aircraft built in limited numbers, but, in the main front it was used, it had it's importance. >>>Fokker C. X<<< This plane was used in limited numbers during the invasion of the Netherlands, in 1940, as light bomber and recon plane. But, in Finland, during the Winter War, and Continuation War, it gave the greatest collaboration to the finns. Scheme, as usual (a bad one, but I really like the drawings of this site): http://ww2drawings.jexiste.fr/Files/...er-CX-Srs2.htm A curiosity: the last one, was used by the finns until 1958, as target tug, until it's crash. I love FAF campaings. This would be a helluva add. Thanks again people. Cheers. |

Hello folks
One more week, more amazing updates by SoW, and one more request... This week, more early war planes, and one of my favorites: >>>Dewoitine D-520C1<<< I just realized this week, that even with hundreds of planes, covering ten years of aviation development, we have just a few french planes, to be more accurate, just the MS. 406 and .410, and they aren't flyable, anyway. We could see some effort put in french models, and, who knows, maps too. This worked very well with the italians, and the feedback was very good. And now, italian updates are coming regularly with patches. D .520, one of the best french fighters, if not the best, of WWII, would be a great start. Scheme here: http://ww2drawings.jexiste.fr/Files/...ineD-520C1.htm Thanks again people... Hope you liked my idea for today... Cheers... |

Here we go.
Another weekend, and another idea to TD. This week, the plane is: >>>Caproni Ca.135<<< http://ww2drawings.jexiste.fr/Files/...Ca.135-PXI.htm This italian bomber, never used operationally in it's country, was exported in some important numbers to Hungary, that used them in active service in the Eastern Front during 1941-42. This Caproni wasn't a good plane, but hungarians have nothing left, and were forced to use them anyway. In the end, it proved it's valour. Another very unknown plane. Sorry for that. But it's good always remember those forgotten birds, and wonder if someday we will be able to see them flying in our beloved SIM. Thanks again people. See you around. Cheers. |

Dewoitine fighter.
IL-2 have a great lack of french planes. Not only for Battle of France campaign, but many french warbirds ended with Rumania and other countries after the capitulation,as well with Free France and Vichy.
