It might be an even better idea to get an Nvidia card.
IL2 1946 will be less hassle with an Nvidia GPU. Have a look at the ATI threads around here they have driver problems and graphics anomalies in IL2, flashing props and rainbow flak with purple/blue cockpits. and some have perfect mode water issues. Nvidia have a problem with visible rings in the water on perfect mode settings when its foggy. Have fun.
