On the USB create a folder called PS3 create a folder inside there called SAVEDATA (both in caps) put the unzipped save files in there and when you go to saved data utility on the PS3 it will see it.
Be warned if you put someone elses save on you won't earn any more trophies and you won't be able to save. Also it won't remember any settings changes you make.
