1 Black Dragon army is a classic for mage, especially when upgrading and suppressing items.
Otherwise when engaging large stack armies using 1 high initiative unit and casting invisibility on them is also a viable no loss strategy with using only spellbook(you can't cast anything on Black Dragons).
