This is one of the few games I don't regret paying near full price only to see it drop a few weeks later

The sad thing is this makes me think that that sales have not been very good and so we won't see any mroe KB games

Not at all true. Steam sales are done by valve to draw more customers TO STEAM. This means making popular games cheap, so they can get references like this one from Penny Arcade .

Remember, that Steam wants you to invest in ANY steam game, and has little overhead for games they sell there. I think it makes most sense to make a big sale of a game right AFTER it has done well, then because it is not selling at all.
