ok final hint before I reveal the answer: yes, it was, in fact, stolen from Dassault.

I guess the f-35 lovers didn't materialize but it's a good thing I didn't say anything bad about the f-22. Though I think it put all its eggs in the BVR basket too, at least as far as combat vs OVT planes is concerned. [ducks]

I considered posting the Viggen, actually, I like the fighters that can land on roads. More sensible than putting vtol on a plane and then still calling it a fighter.
