Have you done the helping the tree quest, and have you talked to the king afterwards?

Edit: Nope...just talked to the male elf at the other castle and that didn't help either. Last edited by gilby123; 11-11-2009 at 10:47 PM. |

You need to finish the quest " Tree of Life Sprout" given by Tree of Life in order to get permission.

Bizzarre. I was given the option of asking the Tree of Life for Permission, though, and the Quest to get permission was checked as completed. I'll try finishing that Sprout quest and see what happens.

Alright...that seemed to work. After completing the Sprout quest, it had me re-do the whole ask her, ask her father, ask the tree bit again, then it finally let me take her as my wife.
I'd still submit there's a bug there, though. |

i just completed the sprout quest but still didn't get the option to ask her to marry me. guess i'll have to hope that i still got an old savegame in which both the marry and the sprout quest aren't finished yet to avoid this bug... -_-
[edit]well... i just loaded a savegame where neither marry, nor sprout quest were completed and i tried asking queen violetta instead, to avoid the whole tree-thing. doesn't work either. -_-[/edit] Last edited by sh4dow; 12-26-2009 at 02:58 PM. |

If I remember correctly you also have to ditch your previous wife before getting the dialogue if you hadn't already done that.
