And the DB-605 is definatly no slouch of an engine. I did not know it was also on the 110. I was thinking only on the 210 and the later 109's.

It was also fitted to the Japanese "Judy" dive bomber (50 MPH faster than the F2A Buffalo and F4F Wildcat) and the Kawasaki Ki-61 "Tony" fighter.

In BSM the Judy is slower than the F4F and in BSP the fault is corrected to make it faster, as it should be.

I'll have to dig around in some of the books here.

Given that the flight model was ported from IL2, the number of mistakes makes me think they simply decided they must make a few planes "suck" more.

Seriously, way too many mess-ups for the small number of planes in the game.

I've never heard that the 110 had a legendary rate of climb. I would've thought it would be better off diving as an escape tactic (given that its quite a heavy bird).
Would be fun to employ the real life tactic (employed in Battle of Britain) of circling round and round covering each others tail (if you had enough 110's in a multiplayer game).
I think the biggest disgrace with the 110 in this game is the lack of weapon load-outs (as compared to... hmmm maybe the Il2).
Those cannons don't seem quite as punchy as they should be either.
