Awesome bird, its been one of my favourite jets since I was little, The big McDonnell Douglas attack harriers just arn't the same. I'm still angry that the RN got rid of their FA2's. Also GR.9's pretty much suck at fleet defence which was the sea harriers forte. The RN would be pretty stuffed if something really bad happened before they got the new carriers and the F35 fighter.

We might not even be getting the F35. According to reports, the planes are only contracted to fly in UK territorial waters iirc. There was a gag on the Rory Bremner show about it a while back. They also had to redesign the carriers deck because the F35 would have burned through the original design deck while in VTOL.
