I have skid across the water before and even bounced out LOL! But that was only because I was trying(I crashed lots of times to accomplish this).

When I got shot down in simulater mode it didnt make me immediatly bail out. I was just in my plane while it was about to crash and I had to pause and select Bail Out to get out of the plane.

It did it to me when I collided with a He-111 when my canopy got sprayed with oil.

But let's hope single player and free flight work differently.

I hope in the the game you have to bail out on your own and you cant do it below a certain altitude or else you'll hit the ground and die.

yes i dont like the fact it auto bails out, lets hope its different in full game

Yeah, I loved trying to cheat death by safely bringing down a crippled plane in the PC Il2s.
