if you look at your post #3 in this thread you have it at

you need to remove the semicolon from that line, unless you have single core cpu! then just leave it as is. the game runs much better when it has its own core and other background programs are put on the other core(s). for example, i have a dual core. so I set it to 2. then with cpu-control (freeware) program I made a profile to put IL2 on the second core and all the other programs on the first core. so whenever I play the game, I just run cpu-control in the background to ensure IL-2 has its own dedicated core, along with that setting in the confi.ini.

if your asking about task manager, it's a windows function. it show all the programs and processes running on your computer. after starting the game, go to desktop and run it. then find the il2fb.exe process and do left click. it will show what cores it is using. you should see just one core checked off.

edit:
also, just ignore the part in the above link about it saying it does not making any difference. that is absolutely incorrect.
