I like my X52 because of all the buttons and features but would like to try a FF stick such as the Sidewinder2. I have seen good reviews on this forum but does the FF work reliably in CloD?

I use a MS Sidewinder Pro with a game port to USB adapter with W7 64 bit.
I do not have any problems with Windows or the game.

The stick is old and has hundreds of hours on it so there is some play around center. However if I adjust the dead zones it is not too bad.

Forget an adaptor for the MS Sidewinder FF Pro. It does not work.

you can get them to run in every version of windows, but it is tough. It's a long time since I last attempted it, but if I remember correctly I had to fool windows into thinking I had a different type of joystick connected.

Thanks for the response guys.

Actually i can not buy a joystick because of "wife attack". It would be great if i can use it. I am still open for any kind of advices about making this joy alive with win7.

Hello Troll2k,

as i understand that you are able to use that joy via an adapter. Could you please tell me what adapter and software are you using?

I reread your original post and I misunderstood which stick you were talking about.

I have a MS Sidewinder Precision Pro.It is not force feedback. It is old.It is however,a game port connector.I use a Microsoft gameport to USB adapter.I do not use any software beyond the W7 calibration and the ingame adjustments.

I am sorry if I got your hopes up.

Well, time ago someone developed a USB adapter to (gameporte) Microsoft 3D PRO(1st MS joystick) that work to with (gameporte) Microsoft Force Feedback PRO.

But, only FF effect achieved is return do center force, so the stick work like a normal one.

Dont know if is sold assembled.

Simelas,

Interesting the option to build a adapter using Te2nsy 2.0 USB board, that makes esay buil your own 3DVert adaper.
