My advice (which will probably disappoint you) is to go for the MS Sidewinder2 FFB

I heard the display ports do not play nice with Win7:(

I doubt it'll like any 64 bit OS. Even early USB input devices were really just serial devices, and tend not to work with 64 bit.

Just get the MS2, they're not expensive on ebay.

I like my X52 because of all the buttons and features but would like to try a FF stick such as the Sidewinder2. I have seen good reviews on this forum but does the FF work reliably in CloD?

I have Both Microsoft Sidewinder FF2 and sidewinder precision pro 2 and they both work with win7 ultimate.no problem and windows picks them right up without having to install the program.Hope this helps

I use a MS Sidewinder Pro with a game port to USB adapter with W7 64 bit.
I do not have any problems with Windows or the game.

The stick is old and has hundreds of hours on it so there is some play around center. However if I adjust the dead zones it is not too bad.

Forget an adaptor for the MS Sidewinder FF Pro. It does not work.

you can get them to run in every version of windows, but it is tough. It's a long time since I last attempted it, but if I remember correctly I had to fool windows into thinking I had a different type of joystick connected.

Thanks for the response guys.

Actually i can not buy a joystick because of "wife attack". :) It would be great if i can use it. I am still open for any kind of advices about making this joy alive with win7. ;)

Hello Troll2k,

as i understand that you are able to use that joy via an adapter. Could you please tell me what adapter and software are you using?
