If I wanted to say the 109E was too slow I would go to a place like Kurfurst and show original documents from RLM testing as evidence. Short of that your only posting opinions. |

Flying on Slovakia Summer Map.
Piloted SM79 alongside Cant 506 Two Bf109 set up as allied The 109's shot down the 506, then pretty much at the point where their attention switches to the SM79 they both froze in mid-air. The game did not freeze, just the two AI Bf109's -- left hanging in space. |

Suffering from the same CTDs as already mentioned by others I noticed something else:
With the new bomb fuse settings Stuka bombing has become impossible. SC500, SC250 and SC70 all have a minimum arming time of 5.6 seconds with instant detonator (oV). Historically Stuka dive usually was initiated from ~3000m with release altitude of ~500m. In 4.11 this doesn't give the bombs enough arming time. And I'm pretty sure they didn't use time delayed bombs on the Ju-87. Please have a look and thanks for your good work. |

With one my mates we tried the mission in attachement.
I hosted via HyperLobby. We killed AI planes and got no CTD. Usually we play IL2 1946 4.09m + UP 2.01 + Zuti's 1.13 and use IL2 DCG 3.46 to manage the dynamic campaign and create the missions. In attachement is one of this missions. All seem works fine. But the AI behavior seems to be very flaccid... So may be the problem is in the QMB. It was my two cents. |

From Release Notes:This however means we can't have impact explosion with release altitudes lower than ~700m while dive-bombing. Historically Stuka pilots went much lower, though: When the aircraft was reasonably close to the target, a light on the contact altimeter came on to indicate the bomb-release point, usually at a minimum height of 450 m (1,500 ft).http://www.enotes.com/topic/Junkers_Ju_87 Also can someone explain what the second electric fuse setting (Elek. See) is for? SC500 this way has arming time 14s (oV) opposed to 5.6s (oV) with normal electric fuse. |

Back on the "debugging", I have had one Crash To Desk, with the following log report :
Quote:
It happened in the middle of a QMB mission, with Spits MkIX 1942 against A6M2's 1940, on the map Crimea. All other settings were default, except no DCA. I tested again the same mission after the CTD, runned without an issue. By the way, the new IA seems to be quite nice ! I would like to use the occasion to thank the DT for the continuously deep work on the series, and the high standards they try to keep. EDIT : added several other error files from chrisgibon and AlbertMarcel (before the hotfix, probably the hotfix corrects this one as well). Last edited by C6_Krasno; 01-14-2012 at 05:07 PM. |
