If they would introduce unranked ps3 matches, or better yet, PvP training and co-op training, it would be a lot easier to help out the new pilots. Right now only team battle mode really works for that, but it doesn't give you much chance to work on advanced maneuvering.
With all the problems still present in the way kills and crashes are tallied, does the way rank is tallied and posted really matter? To me the ranking boards should be de-emphasized a bit.
