Silly option.
If you cannot attack a base with guns, then you should be able to attack it at all. I understand that some servers do not allow base attack at all as they are trying to simulate longer distances, but on the whole it's just a juvenile approach. If you don't want a base attacked add enough flak to cover the base properly. Then if someone is successful at attacking the base it will be well deserved.
