Capture airfields rubbish

What's the deal with this game type, I've played 3 games of it so far and each has been the same. One team captures the airfiled and then as the other team try to take it, people just kamikaze into the landing planes. I've no problem with planes stafing landing planes but flying straight into them is just retarded. It doesn't help much that everyone seems to respawn right over the airfield too. Anyone know if the patch is going to change spawn points or penalize kamikaze pilots? Perhaps people who crash on purpose (with an undamaged aircraft) could get a -1 point or something.
