Default PC Release

So I discovered today that this game was coming out, and was really excited until I couldn't find anything about a PC release. I sure someone has posted this question before but, is there going to be a PC release? I know the first game dominated the PC combat flight simulator market for a number of years, so it would surprise me if the developers didn't do a PC release. I have a 360, but will not be taking it to college with me, and any opportunity I do have to play it, I will probably be on Modern Warfare 2. I will have a PC, so could someone please tell me the game will be released for that platform?

Simple Answer: No. I loved the old ones on console as well, but BoP is out only for Console and Handhelds.

Why wouldn't they? Doesn't the game already have a PC fan base?

They all moved to console. (I wouldn't say all, but those who want their hands on the next Il-2 did.) I used to play 1946 ALL the time, and loved it all. But it's been said, that PC gaming is a dying sort, and that console is becoming the big buck maker. It's all about money nowadays, no one is making games for fun anymore, it's all about making the bank. And also because somewhere in there, the Publisher wasn't all about PC games as I take it?

I don't know what Soviet Ace is on about but the PC community didn't go anywhere. IL-2:1946 is still thriving, and Oleg and Maddox Games are hard at work on the sequel to IL-2, which is 'Storm of War'. Also BoP wasn't even developed by Oleg or his team, it was made by a 3rd party strictly for the consoles. And as you can imagine, being a console game, it is worlds apart from the PC version. (Less emphasis on realism and more on fast arcade action)

So if you're looking to play IL-2 on the PC, well then play IL-2: 1946. And I suggest googling 'allaircraftarcade' if you want to update it.
