Arcades are a waste of time as the 360 is crippled with no HDD, although it won't really effect your BoP experience. Other than the lack of or size of the HDD there's nothing much to choose between them really.

Elite has the biggest HDD at 120 gigs and has taken the place of the Pro at 299, and the pro is now 249.
Don't buy the arcade(no hdd, no headset) and don't buy a used 360. All the new ones are Jasper, which is cooler running and different Dvd drive(Phillips drive instead of Toshiba, which had a tendency to scratch discs) |

The 360 went through several 'quiet' updates. The latest version is the Jasper that should fix alot of the problems the earlier models had. I don't think you can buy any of the older models anymore since the current model is nearly a year old now. But here is a handy page what too look for when hunting for a Jasper:
How to spot a Jasper Apart from that. Don't buy an arcade model without a HDD. Other than that it's just the color and the size of the HDD. -edit- My dream setup would be to have BoP in my hands. Some cold wine in the fridge and no appointments. Sadly i fail at two. Do have some wine tho. Last edited by Pyquila; 09-04-2009 at 01:56 PM. |

That´s very easy:
Xbox 360 Halo ODST (Elite version). It is going to sell for 259€ in Europe, for example, and it has the latest revision (with 512MB of Flash memory on board). 120GB hard disk for installing games, music, etc. It also comes with Halo 3 ODST, Halo 3 and beta access to Halo Reach (ok, it also carries Hexic on the hard drive and some more miscellaneous installed that you can delete anytime). |

All Xbox 360 on sale since 2007 came with HDMI and analog output.
If you don´t have the money, allways can buy an Arcade System (without Hard Disk) for less than 179€ and, later, add a Hard Disk to the system. You can select between 60GB, 120GB and, next month, 250GB for your Xbox 360, as they are sold oficially by Microsoft, as accesories. |

Pay attention to that. To spot the info through the box, you'll probably have to rip the hole just a little bit open with your thumb. My most recent was an Elite. Went to every store in town and NONE of the Elites had a Jasper, the were all Falcon. This was the Elite package with the free games. I figure that's why they offered that deal---to get rid of old Elites. The one I ended up with was almost a year old since manufacturing. All Arcades had a Jasper. Some Pros had a Jasper. That "Elite" lasted me 46 days and RROD'd. I've only had one RROD before, I'm not one that continually gets that. Took it back. Best Buy had no more Elites and weren't about to get any in. They let me swap for an Arcade and keep the HD, so I have no complaints. Jasper chip of course. EXPECT this thing to last a year and have an issue. It may not be RROD, it could be something else, so the longer warranty may not apply. 1-**Get an extended warranty** 2-Get a Jasperr If on an HDTV, with an Arcade, you'll have to buy an HDMI cord or at least component cables (it only comes with composite). If you can find a Pro with Jasper that might be the way to go. |
