Default Last Night

I finally got to sit down and play (thoroughly) through the game for about 2 hours last night, and I had so much fun I can't even tell you. This was the third time I played and focused more on dogfighting than on the mission objectives and this was such a thrill, it brought back so man memories of the original IL-2.

When chasing the 190's and 109's they were never able to shake me but the kept doing a funny thing, they would fly straight up and I would follow and they would not turn until they started to stall and descend backwards. Almost every plane I chased did this if I didn't shoot them down quick.

Anyway. Thought I would share

Im having a blast with the demo too. There isnt anything else on consoles that comes close to this.

Ive been playing Tiger Hunt a lot because of the fighters. I too am ignoring mission objectives to get some dogfighting experience. Hopefully the practice will pay off for multiplayer mode when the game comes out.

Yeah I've started spoiling for dogfights rather than completing the missions. The graphics blow me away, though it is hard to track planes sometimes, especially when they dive into the trees - they vanish against the Ardenne forest.

I recently installed Pacific Fighters again, thanks to BF1943. I was justing getting into a campaign when I found out about BOP. I can't believe how similar the flight model is. I really didn't expect this sort of simulation on a console.

It's just chewing up the hours right now! Can't wait for this to come out.

I've had that happen a few times. I guess they're trying to out-stall the mustang but due to some bug the move isn't pulled off properly.

Had my first sim mode dogfight on Dover mission. That's not easy, respect to all you who have been playing sims for a while! Such excitment, chasing a 109 at tree-top level!

The exact same thing happens to me, the 190s pull way up, stall, and then usually crash into the ground. I hope it'll be better in the final version. But I do love the look of shooting up a plane, it reminds me of an old World War Two Gun camera. And also, anyone noticed how for some reason, they always come screaming at you from head on? It seems like this was done to make it more exciting, but I'd prefer if the AI pilots were a bit more intelligent and tactical. I'm eagerly awaiting launch

I followed it but got oil allover my screen and couldn't see anything. I crashed into a He111 form beneath then managed to crash into another one on the way down!
