HELP! which game computer components ??
Believe it or not , computer games are new to me.
I purchased < Men of War > KNOWING that my present 8 year old computer could NOT possibly play it ! My plans to purchase a new computer have been upset by the many models available ...by the knowledge that purchasing an inadequate computer does not plan for the future. On the other hand my funds are limited... QUESTION: use < IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 > a flight simulator program as a criteria, ASSUMING that < Men at War > requirements are much less stringent (??) 1 What CPU is required for game playing ? 2. How large should the RAM Memory be ? 3. What video card would be required, especially its built-in memory cache? 4. What external controls would be recommended to 'fly' an airplane ? 5. I use Windows XP, is that suitable ? If these questions sound stupid PLEASE answer anyway ! Thanks falconeye |

Quote:
CPU: Intel core 2 Duo (E7300 - E8600) or AMD "Phenom II X2 Black edition RAM: 3-4 GB minimum Video Card: any modern ATI or NVIDIA card starting from middle-price moodels. External controls: there are many good flightsticks, better ask this question in IL-2 section of our forum. Win XP is suitable Last edited by Nike-it; 08-14-2009 at 06:45 AM. |
