Default Free flight mode?

Can the devs or anyone else confirm a free flight mode? Sometimes its nice just to fly around and look at the scenery, and it would be excellent if you could take off and land during free flight too. Thanks in advance.

Training mode lets you choose your aircraft, the difficulty, the map, the weather, what enemies you want (no enemies is an option), choose to start on the ground or in the air and then lets you do whatever you want with the scenario you have created.

So if you just want to load up a Hurricane and fly around the Battle of Britain map on your own you can do this, or you could set up a mission where you were flying a Bf109F as part of the fighter cover for a Stuka raid on British armour in North Africa, having to get past Spitfires and P40s to do so, just to give two possible examples.

Great news, thanks.

The only thing that would make this game better would be Pilotwings style side challenges (fly through rings, shoot targets etc). But, I'll take what I can get.

Anton, I notice you are online, so if you see this post can you tell us more about training mode? Details such as how many friendly and enemy aircraft can be selected, whether friendly ground attack aircraft can be ordered to attack enemy ground targets etc would be appreciated.
