Default Nasty rumor and request for a debunk

On another forum I go to, one of the members mentioned that he attended E3. In spite of all of the positive press regarding "IL-2: Birds of Prey", he says that one of the members of the gaming press said that this game was on the "chopping block". That doesn't seem likely to me, but I'd still like some reassurance from 1C that this is not the case.

If it is, please let us know what we can do to influence the game publisher to the contrary.

IL2BoP has already won Best Console Game award, Best Technology, and Best Simulation Award. So I doubt it's on the chopping block.

I was told by someone that went to E3 that the publisher liked it so much they put more money into it last year. That's why it looks so good, due to the extra time and funding spent on it. Not to mention, games that are already completed aren't "on the chopping block".

Yeah, I know that it sounded something like that when I posted it. But I wasn't at E3, so I thought I'd check with people who would know better than I.

How is it a possibility?

Even if the financial backing of the developer and publisher fell through - they would still sell the intellectual property to another group (to recoup losses) who would gladly invest money in a finished product, publish it, then reap the profits. In fact certain businesses exist which specialise in doing just this.

The game is complete. Barring some unforseen global disaster (asteroid strike etc) there is a 0% chance of this game being put on the scrap heap. Yay

Anton has probably been hush lately because essentially his job is done. Now he can kick back with a nice glass of Vodka and some beautiful Russian women. I just hope he is generous and shares with us! (you guys can have the Vodka)...

Sorry man, I couldn't help it

This game is coming out and it's going to be a console changer in the way Gran Turismo and Forza were / are.

Guys, I am busy - because I am busy
The game is 100% complete, the only thing left is submissions/approvings/manufacturing/marketing/selling.
All these thing are very important to any console game, and could take pretty much time, but they can't block game to be published.
It _will_ be on shelves this year, only a humanity disaster (like World War 3) can stop it.

Even if all our publishers will go bankrupt (which is unlikely), we still have the game ready, and so it will be on shelves.

Of course, the future of any potential sequels and, probably, our company depends on sells of the game - but this game will be out in any case.

I hope, you guys (I mean, our audience in general) will buy enough copies to make game profitable, and press will be generous and gives us good ratings - and then we'll make a new flight-sim game, with more different single player and multiplayer experience, and a lot of new content... so the future of console flight sim gamings now lays in your hands
