Default great article at HARDOCP breaking down Cryostasis performance.

Especially note the image quality shots. Its really quite eye opening how there isn't a huge amount of diff between most of the settings except maybe textures.

I was just about to post the same link. Glad I looked first.

Still, I run an nVidia 8600 GTX on WinXP SP3 and can't play Shader Model 4.0 (naturally).

That said, I get better performance with the great nVidia Physics disabled.

I think all this physics crap is way over-hyped.

Unless your talking Penumbra.

That's just me of course.

Really, this is not a bad game for the money.

Most people make their thumbs up or down determination at the end-boss challenge (which requires you to beat a god-like character). The puzzle solving up until then is fun. Not overly complex like in Myst.

I would agree with the thumbs down people because my experience is that, that god-like character get's in your way more often than not, preventing you from meeting your objective. It's very frustrating.
