total crash - drop to windows

at about 10th-11th level or so of play i can not travel to the islands of freedom anymore. every time i take the boat over the game completely crashes (no prompts) right to desktop just a smidge before the load screen completes.

very frustrating. any help?

system is=

dell optiplex 330
intel core two cpu 6600 @ 2.4ghz
2.1 ghz of 2g ram

nvidia gforce 8800 gt

windows xp home edition version 2002 service pack 2

Guys where did you get the game? If at Steam, then this is known issue and it will be solved ASAP.

im really happy too see someone replied to this!!

Yes i did get it from steam and i after avoiding the islands went far enough in the dwarfen kingdom to use the sub to get to the eastern island which worked but when i sailed to the western end to get back to mainland it did the same crash.

basicly the problem is now isolated to western island.

i cant wait for the fix! great game... ive been pretty bloody hooked and im a picky game player in my advanced age lol
