steam patch crippled my frame rate

Hi,

I was just patched by steam yesterday. Before that this the game ran at max settings 60fps, now it is like 15-20 and in battle it goes sub 10. Dropping the graphics makes no difference.

What have you done to the code?

I'm on an nvidia 8800 gts 640 mb. pentium 6400 core 2 duo. 2 gb ram.
