Help stuck at the end of the fortress...

Killed the spiders...took the elevator...down...and I am stuck after killing the ghost like creature....cannot find or activate any handles or consoles.....

When you beat him for the first time, an elevator console is activated (it's glowing orange and it's right in front of the elevator. When you kill him for the second time a large round door should open.

The large doors that open after I kill the Phantom are like furnaces that kill me when I enter them...still stuck in the Fortress underground...help
