emulator detected?
Searched but found nothing on this, sorry if re-query.
After applying either patch, upon launch, I get a window saying an emulator (is) detected. I don't but what could be confusing it? I've tried patching w/o AV apps running. I'm running US Retail version 1.6b7 Thanks. |

I posted the same issue last month and I don't think it has been addressed yet.
http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=4961 I did try what was suggested; backing up the kb.exe pre-patch and then overwriting the patched kb.exe with the backed up one and it allows me to play fine. IT also shows the patched version in the menu screen. |

Thanks for the info. Does the game reflect all the patch changes when you use this workaround?

Is this truly the only way to fix this issue? That is utterly pathetic, for a showstopping issue like this to go unresolved for a month.
Well it works but still shitty... Last edited by Boomstar; 12-28-2008 at 06:02 AM. |

FYI, I tried applying the 1.6.5 patch for my Atari version and replacing the kb.exe with the original. The version number updated but I tried using an easily testable patch change (using WASD for movement) but it didn't work.
The game.ini file doesn't show the "parameter setf ~enablewsad 1" either. /sigh |
