Default resolution stuck! please help!

Hi. I installed the game and tried to change the resolution to find one that works best with my widescreen monitor. I accidentaly changed it to a resolution that my monitor doesnt support and now every time i start the game it says "VIDEO MODE NOT SUPPORTED". I reinstalled the game and also edited the game config text but it sill says video mode not suppoted. I dont know what else to do. please help.

Maybe you forgot to edit refresh frequency? For example:

setf ~r_refresh_rate 60

Also you have to edit parameters:

setf ~screenresoultionx ...
setf ~screenresoultiony ...

Default resolution out of sync

You were editing the config.ini located in your:

C:\Documents and Settings\David\My Documents\My Games\Kings Bounty

and not the one in the game directory, right? Looking in the app.ini in the game folder you see a reference to the %PERSONAL%\My Games\Kings Bounty where PERSONAL defaults to My Documents.

I had the problem where I'd played KB on my 42" Sony (at about 1388X768?) and forgot to reset it back to my laptop's resolution/screen as the primary display so it wouldn't load any more. Editing the two screenresolution values noted above back to the 1920X1200 and it worked fine again. (can leave the refresh rate at 0 (it notes that as using whatever your default is I think)

ps: Thank you, Tempo! Your reply helped me locate my own solution quite a bit.
