Really STUPID question

Hi All,

I know stupid question. Doesn't the main character in this case Bill Gilbert. Participate in the battles or does the main guy just gather experience points and money. If he can take part in the battles? How do I get him into the fights?

Your character is the commander of the troops, and as such doesn't make a physical appearance on the battlefield, although he does participate (invisibly) by using spells, rage, etc.....

And uses his stats and skills to support his troops in different ways.. But no, he doesn't actually participate in the battle directly.
