Hurricane I Z4223/V of Flt Off G H Westlake, No 213 Sqn, Nicosia, Cyprus, July-Oct 1941
Download: http://airwarfare.com/sow/index.php/...prus-hurricane 'In July 1941 a detachment of no 80 Sqn, to which 213 Sqn pilots were attached, was sent to Nicosia. Among them was George Westlake, who on 18 July scrambled in this Hurricane against four Ju 88s flying low over Morphou Bay. He attacked one and the bomber disintegrated in a fireball, making Westlake an ace in spectacular fashion. No 213 then became responsible for the defence of Cyprus, and on 26 August Westlake was airborne again in Z4223 when he caught a Cant Z1007. His first burst blew off the starboard aileron, causing the bomber to crash' From: Osprey, Aircraft of the Aces No 57, Hurricane Aces 1941-45. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Other screenshots http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...orrectscr2.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...rrectscr9j.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...rrectscr9g.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...orrectscr9.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...pccopyscr6.jpg Skins - Light wear markings - Light wear generic - Very heavy wear markings - Very heavy wear generic
