Default No joy with joystick

Hi, I had CoD for Christmas, but I havnt flown yet.
Im having probs geting my Saitek AVAR-02 joystick to work with Ciffs of Dover, PC version.
Ive been into control settings to try get flying, Im making changes but I dont really know what Im doing. Im not very tek.
Saitek and Ubisoft support both advised me to join the forum to ask about for a 'Config File' ??
Help anyone...

CloD GUI due bad translation for english is a bit confuse,
ie "Pres hot key" when is expected that you move joystick axis.
