Default HUD Display In COD

Is there a way to get some sort of readout at the top of the screen for instance showing basic info like heading - altitude - speed. The cockpits look very good but not the easiest way to get important info quickly.

Hi Lorenzoj,

As far as I know there is still no way of creating the type of IL2:1946 speedbar that you require using the Clod interfaces.

Fearlessfrog did come up with something close to it some time back using scripts. Link here: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...02&postcount=1.

Other than this try doing a search on the term 'speedbar' for any other info, but I'm afraid it's going to be the usual WW2 pilots' way!

Hope this helps a little.

Thanks Marco37 for the reply. I was beginning to see that the answer was going to be negative. Hell, even MSFS in which most planes have great navigation equipment has the option for a speed bar at the top with essential info streaming.

By WWII method I guess you mean the vintage IFR equipment as in "I Follow Roads"

Edit: I did just now follow the FearlessFrog threads you mentioned. Nice stuff really. Too bad it seems you have to add the script to each mission individually to get the read out. Was hoping for a more universal option. There are some really sharp guys out there who keep making this better for the rest of us thank goodness.

May not be what you want but Ctrl-F1 scrolls through modes. one of them is no-cockpit with instruments showing.

Thanks but I want the cockpit. I just want a quick, unobtrusive readout of heading - altitude - speed - ? In the virtual world it is much more difficult to see this info than in a real cockpit. At least it is without tracking headgear.
