Wander Spells

Is there any way to tell if a wander spell is currently active? The manual says it is indicated in the "upper right of the screen", but I can't seem to find it. I have a widescreen monitor, but no luck even when trying many different resolutions. I was hoping this was the problem and not my elderly eyes....All help appreciated

There used to be a counter there in the previous games, but they removed it for this one for some reason...
